Circular economy practices are at a very early stage in India, and there's a need to bring changes to policy and indigenous design in the country.
Watch this DIF film, produced by a group researching industrial symbiosis in Ahmedabad, who will share perspectives on the challenges of implementing effective resource exchange and in the design phase in India. Watch interviews of influential people striving to begin implementing circular economy approaches for effective business and resource management.
As a Researcher, I'm more inclined towards implementing indigenous models to modern concepts of circular economy. My Industrial symbiosis project helped me to understand the challenges of implementing circular economy concepts in India which motivated me to research on traditions practices.
Akhil studied Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management and worked in product design. Ellen MacArthur’s TED talk has inspired him to work on circular economy. He recently graduated at Anant Fellowship, where he worked on Industrial Symbiosis and did research on improving policies & using various technologies for improving the domain. Akhil is a certified master trainer in cleaner production assessment. He is currently exploring his future endeavours.
