What is the circular economy and how do you start to explain it?
Four of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's experts will talk you through four different ways to start the conversation about the circular economy as a fundamentally different way of designing, making and operating, while sharing plenty of examples of it in action along the way.
Do you have your own way of introducing the concept? Come prepared to interact and share!
DIF Programme Manager and Education Content Manager
Colin is one of the two Ellen MacArthur Foundation's DIF Managers. He manages content in the DIF's Live Studio, ensuring that we have a great mix of brilliant people armed with interesting topics. He also directed last year's DIF documentary, System Reset.
Learning Design Associate
Ilma is a Learning Design Associate, working on the circular economy online learning content for business audiences. She has facilitated a collaborative project focused on building business competencies for a circular economy in marketing & sales, product creation & design, and procurement and supply chain functions.
She is now working on open source tools and resources for specific business functions to bring circular economy ideas in their organisation which will be available on our online learning space. Ilma has recently discovered storytelling and loves telling folk stories around the fire.
Government & Cities Lead
Ashima leads the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Gov & Cities Programme, which focuses on supporting public bodies – at the national, regional, and municipal level – in setting the right enabling conditions for the transition to a circular economy, initiating regional innovation initiatives and circular demonstrator projects, and strengthening the local SME community. She is constantly evolving the programme, striving for the most catalytic activities and expanding the global reach.
DIF Programme Manager and Social Media Manager
Seb is one of the two Ellen MacArthur Foundation's DIF Managers. He makes sure the DIF’s content reaches the right people on a global scale through resourceful and creative marketing. He also feeds into the DIF's long-term strategy. When Seb isn’t working on the DIF, he’s busy managing the Foundation’s social media accounts and producing regular content across platforms as well as writing for Circulate news.
