In this interview, Mario Costantini, General Manager, and Max Tellini , Global Head Circular Economy, will speak about how the Circular Economy has been highlighted in the 2018-2021 Industrial Plan of the Bank as one of the main drivers to be a “positive impact bank” and what is the role of startups ecosystem in accelerating the shift towards the Circular Economy.

Mario started his professional career in 1999 after he graduated in Electronic Engineering with specialisation in Neural Networking and Robotics. In 2003 he started his career in Intesa Sanpaolo dealing with innovative technologies, with initial focus in telecommunications and computer security. He designed and built the first multimedia corporate services in Italy. In 2009 he started working on innovation strategic projects in Intesa Sanpaolo Group, a professional career that brought him to his current position. His path was initially focused on the introduction of the Open Innovation technologies through the coordination of the main projects of digital transformation within the Group.
He later focused on the market aiming at facilitating the development of the new digital and economical technology in Italy. Through Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center he also promotes and sustain the transition of the economical and entrepreneurial system towards business models “future proof”.

Economist by training, investment banker by practice, opportunity maker by vocation. With more than 13 years of international banking activity, Massimiano has been involved in different fields spanning from credit analysis to trade finance in the UK, from project finance to innovation in Asia Pacific.
In charge of the Circular Economy Unit, he currently reports to the General Manager of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center. He holds an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a post MBA Master of Advanced Management from YALE University.
He is also the author of ‘Re-think’ (2013) – a documentary about the need to reframe present global business models & the discourse about Climate Change. His personal goal: to manage to “reduce the risk of tomorrow” by reconnecting Business & Society.
